6.2 BELT TENSIONING
6.2.1 LOOSENING THE BELT BUT WITHOUT REPLACING IT
• Take as reference the position of the front pin, right and left side. See the table below.
Take as reference the distance between the
front roller and the frame, both on the right
and on the left side of the equipment. (TOOL:
gauge).
Alternatively, take as reference the position of
the front shaft, in correspondence of which the
frame “rests”. (TOOL: marker)
• After performing the operations: return the front roller to its original condition.
• Make sure there is a maximum gap of 1 mm to 2 mm between the belt and the front bear-
ing. The belt may lightly touch the bearing, but must not be overtensioned: as soon as the
belt is in contact with the bearing, do not rotate the front pin bolt any further.
Maintain the parallelism of the rollers. This is important as regards the position of the tread
belt on the equipment. Turn one half turn at a time, both on the right and on the left side of
the roller.
