Appendix B: Connect the Instrument to a Computer
You can connect your instrument directly to a computer through a USB port and a
software application, such as Tektronix OpenChoice® Desktop. Connecting to a
PC will allow
you to collect screen images and let the PC analyze your data.

he following procedure describes how to install the drivers on a
Windows XP computer. Installing on computers with other Windows versions
may be different.
Drivers for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 are available from the Windows
Driver Distribution Center, and can be downloaded automatically if your computer
is connected to the Internet.
The drivers have passed Windows Logo Verification and are signed by Microsoft
Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher. This is required for installation on
Windows 7.
NOTE. This instrument requires two drivers to be loaded in the following
seque
nce: Tektronix USB driver, then Tektronix USB Serial port.
