Recorder Functions
Record Wavefo
rmsInDeepMemory(ScopeRollMode)
The SCOPE ROLL MODE function logs a long waveform of each active input.
Use this function to monitor waveforms such as motion control signals or the
power-on eve
nt of an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). During recording,
fast transients are captured. Because of the deep memory, recording can be done
for more than one day. This function is similar to the roll mode in many digital
sampling oscilloscopes, but has deeper memory and better functionality.
Start Scope Roll Mode
To record the channel 1 and channel 2 waveform, do the following:
1. Apply sig
nals to the channel 1 and channel 2 inputs.
2. Select RECORDER REPLAY.. from the Acquire button menu.
3. Select SCOPE ROLL MODE.
4. The waveform moves across the screen from right to left like on a normal
chart recorder. Observe that the screen displays the time from start at the top
and the status at the bottom of the screen, which includes the time/div setting
and th
e total timespan that fits the memory. (See Figure 26.)
5. Press the function button under the RECORDER menu item and select
STOP t
ostoprecordingwhenyouareready.
