acknowledgment, this means that the conference unit is
initialized.
Go back to the CPU5500 central unit and press the ENTER
button to save the configuration.
To add a conference unit, execute the Add Unit menu option. The
red signal ring of the new conference units will start flashing. Press
its MICRO button to initialize it.
When you want to delete a conference unit from the current
configuration execute the Delete Unit menu option.
Select the number of the microphone you want to delete. Press
ENTER to delete the microphone.
Let the red signal ring blink in request mode
To let the red signal ring blink along with the green request led
above the microphone button follow the next procedure.
Press ENTER, choose Conference. Press ENTER again, now
choose Options. Press ENTER and choose Light Ring. Press
ENTER and turn the wheel to set the light ring in Blink in Request
mode. Press ENTER to save this setting.
Working with delegate conference units
Talking: The most important button on a conference unit is the
MICRO button. The MICRO button is used to speak or to issue a
request-to-speak.
When you have to request the floor to take the word, you need to
press the MICRO button. The green LED above the MICRO button
will then begin to flash along with the red signal ring if this option
is chosen.
The conference manager which has a PC with the microphone
management software installed is able to grant you access to the
floor.
Once you have been granted the floor the red signal ring will light
up.
Working with VIP conference units
A VIP unit is a delegate unit with the rights of a chairman unit.
This means that this VIP unit has always access to the floor. Also,
when the active microphones are muted during the prior
announcement the VIP unit remains active. The VIP can not be
deactivated by the chairman by a short press on the prior key.
