12. TROUBLESHOOTING
12.1. Vacuum unit
Problem: The vacuum pump does not start.
CAUSE SOLUTION
The pump motor is not receiving
voltage.
Check the connection of the on/off switch located upon
the motor of the pump.
Check the electrical connection terminals of the pump.
Check the corresponding circuit-breaker.
Check that the environmental temperature is not too
high (<35ºC), this might have caused the circuit
breakage.
The pump's starter protector is blocked
because the condenser does not reach
the correct temperature. Minimum
temperature to switch on the pump:
LQ-55 <-30ºC / LQ-85 <-40ºC
LQ Arctic-85 <-40ºC
Check the temperature of the condenser.
Pump wheel is seized up. The motor
axle does not turn.

Problem: Vacuum cannot be obtained.
CAUSE SOLUTION
The motor turns but does not create
vacuum.

Problem: The pump does not reach the vacuum pressure limit.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Lack of oil.
Check the level of oil of the pump, and add oil up to
the suitable quantity
The oil is contaminated. Empty the oil from the pump and fill it with new oil.
Problem: Abnormal heating of the pump.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Lack of ventilation or environmental
temperature too high (>35ºC).
Place the pump in an area with better ventilation.
Problem: Mist leak from the emission channel.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Gas-Ballast is opened too much. Close the Gas-Ballast.
There is a leak. Locate the leak.
