12.2. Refrigerating unit
Problem: The refrigerating unit does not start up.
CAUSE SOLUTION
The compressors do not receive
voltage.
Check electrical connection terminals of the
compressors.
Check the circuit breaker corresponding to each
compressor.
Problem: The condenser does not reach the minimum temperature.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Refrigerant leak. Contact Azbil Telstar Technologies Customer Service.
The refrigerating fans of the
refrigerating unit do not work.
Check the circuit breaker corresponding to each
fan.
Problem: Intermittent stoppage of the compressor.
CAUSE SOLUTION
Insufficient refrigeration of the
condenser component.
Place the freeze-dryer in an area with better ventilation.
Check that the temperature in the room is lower than
25ºC.
Clean the area formed by the condenser component
with compressed air and a paintbrush.
Check that there is a suitable circulation of the forced
air in the fan.
Problem: The compressor stops after alternative stoppages.
CAUSE SOLUTION
The thermal protector of the motor of the
compressor is disconnected.
The same solutions than the previous problem.
Wait about 30 minutes to cool down the motor and
unblock the protector, allowing again its operation.
12.3. Freeze-dryer
Problem: Working vacuum cannot be reached.
CAUSE SOLUTION
There is a leak in the equipment.
Check that the unit is watertight.
Lubricate the watertight joints with silicone.
Check that all the manifold keys are closed.
Check that the condenser discharge valve is closed.
Check there is no defrosting water of the condenser
remaining from the last operation in the discharge tube.
Problem: The vacuum gauge indicates “gauge short-circuit” on the display (-100).
CAUSE SOLUTION
Vacuum gauge short-circuit Replace the gauge.
