2.Presstheballbearing(item24inFigure48)fromtheendofthereelclutch
shaft.Discardthebearingthatwasremoved.
3.Carefullyremovetheretainingring(item23inFigure48)thatsecuresthe
reelbrakedisctothereeldrivehub.
Note:Donotdamagethebrakediscfrictionmaterialwhenremovingthe
retainingring.
4.Removethereelbrakediscfromthereeldrivehub,notetheorientationof
thediscforassemblypurposes.Thefrictionmaterialsideofthediscneeds
tobepositionedtowardthereelbrakering(item2inFigure48)whichis
pressedintothetransmissionhousing.
5.Slidethereelclutchhub(item20inFigure48)andreelclutchforkassembly
fromthereeldrivehub.Forassemblypurposes,notethecorrectorientation
oftheindicatormarkonthefork.Ifnecessary,removethepivotpinsand
separatetheforkfromthehub.

socketsothatthe5/32inchpincanbeinsertedthroughthesocketand
holeinthebearingcollar.
C.Useamodiedsocketandsocketwrenchtoremovethebearingcollar
assemblyfromtheclutchshaft.
7.Removetheretainingring(item9inFigure48),atwasher,wavespring,and
ockedbearingshieldfromthebearingcollar.Forassemblypurposes,note
theorientationoftheockedbearingshield.
8.Presstheballbearing(item7inFigure48)fromthebearingcollar.Discard
thebearingthatwasremoved.
9.Slidethereelclutchpulleyassemblyandreeldrivehubfromtheclutchshaft.
