14.Supporttheradiatorassemblybeforelooseningthemountingfasteners.
15.Removetheoilcoolerandradiatorassemblyfromtheradiatorframeas
follows:
A.Removethe4ange-headscrews(item25inFigure25)and4ange
nuts.
B.Removethe2carriagebolts(item11inFigure25),2lockwashers,2
plainwashers,and2hexnuts.
C.Carefullyremovetheoilcoolerandradiatorassemblyfromthemachine.
16.Coverorplugtheopeningsinoilcooleranddisconnectedcoolantand
hydraulictubestopreventcontaminationfromenteringthesystem.
17.Ifnecessary,removethebottomradiatorshield(item28inFigure25)from
theradiator.
18.Ifnecessary,separatetheoilcoolerfromtheradiatorasfollows:
A.Removethe4lockwashers,4plainwashers,and4hexnutsthatattach
theoilcoolertotheradiator.
B.Separatetheoilcoolerfromtheradiator.
C.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromtheoilcooler,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.
D.Removethe2straighthydraulicttings(item8inFigure25)fromtheoil
coolerasnecessaryanddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
19.Inspectallfoamsealsontheradiator,fanshroud,andradiatorframe.
Replaceanyfoamsealsthataredamaged.
InstallingtheRadiator
1.Ifremoved,installthebottomradiatorshieldtotheradiator.
2.Ifseparated,assembletheoilcoolertotheradiatorasfollows:
A.Ifthe2straighthydraulicttings(item8inFigure25)wereremovedfrom
theoilcooler,lubricateandinstallnewO-ringsontothettings.Installthe
ttingsintotheoilcoolerportopeningsandtightenthettings;referto
InstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittinginto
theComponentPort)(page5–11).
B.Attachtheoilcoolertotheradiatorwiththe4lockwashers,4plain
washers,and4hexnuts.
3.Installtheoilcoolerandradiatorassemblytotheradiatorframeasfollows:
A.Carefullypositiontheoilcoolerandradiatorassemblytotheradiator
frame.
B.Securetheradiatortotheframewiththe4ange-headscrewsand4
angenuts.
