4.TotesttherearcuttingunitcircuitreliefvalvePRV1,cleananddisconnect
theinlethosetothe#2(rearleft)cuttingdeckmotor(Figure67).
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowmeteris
showingthattheuidwillowfromthedisconnectedhose,through
thetester,andintothedeckmotor.
5.Installatesterwiththepressuregaugeandowmeterinserieswiththe
disconnectedhoseandthedeckmotor.Ensurethattheowcontrolvalve
ontesterisfullyopen.
6.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
7.Withtheenginerunning,presstheenginespeedswitchtofullspeed(3,005
to3,055rpm)position.UsetheInfoCentertocheckthattheenginespeedis
correct.
WARNING
Keepawayfromthecuttingdeckduringthetesttopreventpersonal
injury.
8.Haveasecondpersontooccupytheseat,pressthePTOswitchtoON
position,andthenmovethejoystickleverforwardtoengagethecutting
decks.
IMPORTANT
Donotholdoverreliefforlongerthannecessarytoobtainthe
pressurereading,whileyouperformthistest.
9.Monitorthepressuregaugecarefullywhileyouslowlyclosethetester
owcontrolvalve.Asthereliefvalvelifts,thepressuregaugeneedlewill
momentarilystop.
Note:Thesystempressurewillcontinuetoincrease,oncethereliefvalveis
opened.
10.Oncethereliefvalvelifts,thesystempressureshouldbe:
•Approximately17,500kPa(2,500psi)forthereliefvalve(PRV1)
•Approximately24,100kPa(3,500psi)forthereliefvalve(PRV2)
11.Openthetesterowcontrolvalve,disengagethecuttingdecksandshutoff
theengine.
12.Ifthepressureisincorrect,removethePRVvalveonthemowmanifold,and
cleanorreplacethevalve;refertotheServicingtheDeckControlManifold
Assembly(page4–127).
13.Ifyouarenotabletoobtainreliefpressure,checkforarestrictioninthepump
intakelineand/orcheckthegearpump(P2)(frontcuttingdeckcircuit)and/or
Groundsmaster
