speed).Thegearpump(P3)owtestcomparesuidowatNoLoadwithuid
owUnderLoad.Adropinowunderloadofmorethan15%indicatesthe
gearsandwearplatesinthepumphaveworn.Continuedoperationwithaworn
pumpcangenerateexcessiveheatandcausedamagetothesealsandother
componentsinthehydraulicsystem.
SpecialEquipmentRequired:Flowmeterwithpressuregaugethathasatleasta
16L/minute(5gallons/minute)capacity.
TestProcedure
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,lowerthecutting
decks,shutofftheengine,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.ReadallWarning,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginningofthis
section.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–6).
