DisassemblingtheFrontRoller
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethefrontrollermountingbolt.
3.Removethefrontrollerassemblyandspacerfromthedeckframe.
4.Removethebearingsandbearingspacerfromthefrontrollerasfollows:
A.Insertapunchthroughendoftherolleranddriveoppositebearingoutby
alternatingtapstooppositesideoftheinnerbearingrace.Thereshould
bealipoftheinnerraceexposedforthisprocess.
B.Removethebearingspacer,useapresstoremovethesecondbearing
fromtheroller.
C.Discardthebearingsafterremoval.
5.Inspecttherollerhousingandbearingspacerfordamageorwear.Replace
thecomponentsasnecessary.
AssemblingtheFrontRoller
1.Installthenewbearingsandbearingspacerintothefrontrollerasfollows:
A.Presstherstbearingintotheroller.Pressontheouterraceonlyor
equallyontheinnerandouterraces.
B.Insertthebearingspacer.
C.Pressthesecondbearingintotherollerpressingequallyontheinnerand
outerracesuntiltheinnerracecomesincontactwiththebearingspacer.
2.Installthefrontrollerassemblyandspacertothedeckframe.
3.Insertthemountingboltandtorquethemountingboltto89to128N∙m(65
to95ft-lb).
