O-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page4–11).
6.Afteryoucompletetherepairs,checkthecontrollinkagesorcablesfor
properadjustment,binding,orbrokenparts.
7.Afteryoucompletetherepairs,cleanthehydrauliccomponents,hose
connections,andttingstopreventfutureaccumulationofdirtandunwanted
materialonthehydrauliccomponents.
8.Afteryoudisconnectorreplaceanyhydrauliccomponents,operatethe
machinefunctionsslowlyuntiltheairisoutofthesystem;refertoCharging
theHydraulicSystem(page4–94).
9.Checkforhydraulic-uidleaks.Shutofftheengineandrepairleaksif
necessary.
10.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary.
CheckingtheHydraulicLinesandHoses

Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecanpenetrateskinand
causeinjury.
•Ensurethatallhydraulic-uidhosesandlinesareingood
conditionandallhydraulicconnectionsandttingsaretight
beforeapplyingpressuretothehydraulicsystem.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinholeleaksornozzles
thatejecthigh-pressurehydraulicuid.
•Useapieceofcardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
•Releaseallpressureinthehydraulicsystembeforeperforming
anyworkonthesystem.
•Seekimmediatemedicalattentionifhydraulicuidisinjected
intoyourskin.
IMPORTANT
Checkthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyforleaks,kinked
lines,loosemountingsupports,wear,loosettings,andhose
deterioration.Repairthedamagedhydrauliclinesandhosesbefore
operatingthemachine.

Whenthehydraulicsystemisushed,thehydraulicsystemischarged,orthe
hydrauliccomponentsareinstalled,itisimportanttoproperlyprimethehydraulic
