1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,settheparking
brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Locatethesolenoidvalvecoilthatyoureplace.
A.Tilttheoperatorseatuptogetaccesstothedeckcontrolmanifold.
RefertoFigure198forthelocationofsolenoidcoilsonthedeckcontrol
manifold.
B.Theliftcontrolmanifoldisattachedtoaframebracketundertheoperator
oorplate.Togetaccesstotheliftcontrolmanifold,removetheoperator
oorplate.RefertoFigure199forthelocationofsolenoidcoilsonthe
liftcontrolmanifold.
3.Disconnectthewireharnesselectricalconnectorfromthesolenoidvalve
coilthatyoureplace.Notetheorientationoftheelectricalconnectoronthe
coilforassemblypurposes.
4.Removethenutfromthehydraulicvalve.
5.Slidethesolenoidcoilfromthevalve.
6.Cleananycorrosionordirtfromthevalve.
InstallingtheHydraulicSolenoidValveCoils
1.Slidethecoilassemblyontothehydraulicvalve.Positionthecoilsothat
theconnectorisproperlyorientated.
2.Installthenutontothevalveandtorquethenutto6.7N∙m(60in-lb).
Note:Donotovertightenthenut.
3.Connecttheplatformwireharnessconnectortothesolenoidcoil.
4.Lowerandsecuretheseatifthedeckcontrolmanifoldwasaccessed.Install
theoperatoroorplateiftheliftcontrolmanifoldwasaccessed.
BatteryStorage
Ifyoustorethemachineformorethan30days:
1.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.Removethebatteryand
chargeitfully;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–94).
2.Eitherstorethebatteryonashelforonthemachine.
3.Disconnectthecablesifthebatteryiskeptonthemachine.
4.Storethebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquickdeteriorationofthe
batterycharge.
5.Topreventthebatteryfromfreezingduringstorage,ensurethatyouchargeit
fully;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–94).
BatteryCare
1.Thebattery-electrolytelevelmustbeproperlymaintained.Thetopofthe
batterymustbekeptclean.Ifthemachineisstoredinalocationwherethe
temperaturesareextremelyhigh,thebatterywilldischargemorerapidlythan
ifthemachineisstoredinalocationwherethetemperaturesarecool.
