DisassemblingtheSteeringCylinder
1.Slowlypumpthecylindershafttoremovethehydraulicuidfromthesteering
cylinderintoadrainpan.Plugboththeportsandcleantheoutersurfaceof
thecylinder.
IMPORTANT
Whenyouclampthesteeringcylinderinavise,clampthebarrel
clevisonlytopreventdamage.Donotclosetheviseonthebarrel.
2.Mountthesteeringcylindersecurelyinavisebyclampingonthebarrel
clevis.Useaviseequippedwithsoftjaws.
3.Useaspannerwrenchtoloosenandremovetheexternalcollarsfromboth
endsofthebarrel.
4.Useatwistingandpullingmotiontocarefullyextracttherearheadfromthe
barrelandrearshaft.
