1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthehydraulictanktoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
3.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulichosesandttings.
4.Disconnectthehydraulichose(item14inFigure81)fromtheadaptertting
atthebottomofthehydraulictank,anddrainthehydraulicuidfromthe
tankintoasuitablecontainer.
5.Removetheremaininghydraulichosesfromthettingsonthehydraulictank
anddrainthehosesintoasuitablecontainer.
6.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
7.Removethehydraulictankfromthemachine(Figure81).
8.Removethetankstrainer(item2inFigure81)fromthehydraulictankand
discardtheO-ringfromthetankstrainer.
9.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthehydraulictank,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthetank
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InspectingtheHydraulicTank
1.Cleanthehydraulictankandtankstrainerwithsolvent.
2.Inspectthehydraulictankforleaks,cracks,orotherdamage.
InstallingtheHydraulicTank
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthehydraulictank,lubricateand
installnewO-ringstothettings.Toproperlyalignandinstallthettingsinto
thetankopenings,usethemarksthatyoumadeduringtheremovalprocess.
Tightenthettings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraight
ThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page4–11).
2.LubricateandinstallnewtankstrainerO-ringontothestrainer.Tightenthe
tankstrainerintothehydraulictankandtorquethestrainerto143to155
N∙m(105to115ft-lb).
3.Installthehydraulictanktothemachineandsecurethetanktotheframewith
the2clamps(item19inFigure81),2washer-headscrews,and2angenuts.
4.Removethecapsorplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
5.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringtankremovaltocorrectlyconnect
thehydraulichosestothettingsonthehydraulictank;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicHoseandTube(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page4–9).
6.Fillthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
7.Operatethemachine.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelandadjustifnecessary.
8.Checkthehydrauliccomponentsforleaks.Tightenanylooseconnections.
