RemovingtheDeckControlManifoldAssembly
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–6).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdecks,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.ReadtheGeneralPrecautionsforRemovingandInstallingtheHydraulic
SystemComponents(page4–87).
3.Tilttheoperatorseatandengagetheseatproptoretaintheseatinthe
raisedposition.
4.Locatethehydraulicdeckcontrolmanifold.
5.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulicandelectricalconnections.
Cleanthehydraulicconnectionsbeforelooseningthehydrauliclines.
6.Disconnectthehydraulichosesandtubesfromthettingsinthemanifold.
Allowthelinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Removeanddiscardthe
O-ringsfromthettings.
7.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulictubesandttingstoprevent
contamination.
8.Disconnectthewireharnessleadsfromthesolenoidcoilsonthedeckcontrol
manifold.
9.Removethe3ange-headscrews(item11inFigure97)thatsecurethe
deckcontrolmanifoldtothebracket,andremovethedeckcontrolmanifold
fromthemachine.
10.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthemanifold(Figure98).
DiscardtheO-ringsthatwereremoved.
