The Condensation Particle Counter (CPC) is an improved version of
TSI’s earlier Model 3020 and 3022 CPCs with these features:
# New color and graphics
# New membrane switches on the front panel
# New mounting for the display PC board to make it easy to
replace an EPROM
# New transformer and internal electrical changes to meet IEC
1010 specifications
# New standard RS-232 connector for IBM-style compatibility.
Applications
The Model 3022A CPC is a general-purpose instrument that can be
used in a wide variety of applications.
Typical applications include:
# Basic aerosol research
# Outdoor and indoor air-quality research
# Filter, material, and component testing
# Particle formation and growth studies
# Atmospheric studies
# Particle counter calibration (when used as the reference).
The CPC can also be used as a particle detector in the scanning
mobility particle sizer (SMPS) system or the differential mobility
particle sizer (DMPS) system, and with a diffusion battery.
