Periodically
1. On C models replace the air filter, every 6 months (to be performed by
a technician).
2. On Bio-Hazard models, replace the bio-hazard filter after 100 cycles.
3. Check the door gasket every 12 months and replace it if required (see
para. 9.5). Replacing the gasket shall be done by a technician.
4. Once a year check and tighten the piping joints to avoid leakage.
5. Once a year check and tighten all screw connections in the control box,
heaters and valves and instrumentation.
6. Once a month clean the strainer as described in sec. 11.3. Cleaning
frequency may be reduced according to experience.
7. Once every six months clean the fan grid, from the inside outward, with
a vacuum cleaner.
Periodical Tests
1. Once every month activate the safety valve (see sec. 11.4).
11.2 Draining the Reservoir
Caution!
Before starting, make sure that the electric cord is disconnected
and there is no pressure in the autoclave.
1. Connect the supplied plastic tube and turn drain valve counter
clockwise (1 turn).
2. When the water reservoir is empty, turn drain valve clockwise to the
clockwise position. Remove the plastic tube.
3. Fill reservoir with distilled water until it reaches the base of the safety
device holder (for water quantity, see sec. 3.2).
4. Connect the electric cord to power source.
The autoclave is now ready for use.
