The phone line connection is provided via a RJ-11 jack on the modem.
3.12.1 Credit Setup and Programming
Each modem is pre-programmed with the merchant account information before it is shipped.
Your must have your merchant account set up in advance for this to be done. Information on
obtaining a merchant account is found in the setup section of this manual.
3.12.2 System Settings Affecting Modem Operation
The following Wash Select II system settings will have an effect on how the Modem operates.
“Deaf Time” is a period of time after the modem disconnects that the modem will not answer
incoming calls. This allows multiple units sharing a single telephone line to be accessed using
Remote Reporting.

Credit Mode
The Credit mode will affect modem if used for a
credit transaction. EDC Online is the default setting
for Credit systems.
Enab/Disab Remote
Reporting
This enables or disables the ability to call the Wash
Select II remotely to retrieve reports.
Test modem
This diagnostic function allows you to test the
connectivity to the modem.
Set Password
This sets the password for remote reporting
access.
Rings to answer
This sets the number of rings before the Wash
Select II will answer the phone for remote
reporting.
Set Deaf Time
This allows multiple Wash Select II units to share
the phone line for remote reporting.
Edit Pager Number
This activates a Text, Numeric or Tone pager.
