2.13.11 Disabling Error Control
Disabling error control may be required for some modems when accessing a Wash Select II
with the DataTran modem (installed when the Credit Option is purchased). If you cannot
install a standard modem, you may alternatively modify the currently installed modem. We do
not recommend this unless you are only using your modem to connect to the Wash Select II
system. This may alter your performance with Internet services. We would then recommend
that you purchase another modem for your computer. We recommend US Robotics Sportster
(not Win modem) modems. A 28.8 US Robotics modem is more than sufficient for connecting
to a Wash Select II.
