Maintenance and care of the instrument
VF1807090083 EN revision 67
8.7. Metrological traceability
The instrument has been calibrated
pursuant to IEC 61098 Radiation Protection Instrumentation -
Installed personnel surface contamination monitoring assemblies.
The primary adjustment and calibration are carried out by the manufacturer.
Any setup is carried out either by the manufacturer, service organization trained by the
manufacturer, or user's staff trained by the manufacturer.
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER:
Carry out calibration at least once in 2 years.
Carry out calibration without a protective foil on the foot detectors. If you use the protective
foils of the foot detectors during operation, then their impact on measurement is reflected in
the respective correction constant in the configuration file.
To maintain the quality of metrological parameters do not let the instrument switched-off for
more than 3 months.
2
If you use the instrument as a legally controlled measuring instrument pursuant to the Regulation of the State Office for Nuclear
Safety of the Czech Republic, it is necessary to carry out metrological verification of the instrument in an accredited laboratory.
In the case the instrument was switched-off for longer time, it is required to let the instrument switched on for several hours and
check the stability of the response of the measured values. As soon as the response has stabilized, it is required to check the response
using the CRM (
241
Am for alpha channel and
204
Tl for beta channel). In the case a variation bigger than ±25 % from reference
sensitivities indicated in the document Radiometric parameters (K1010-01-BT01) is found, it is required to re-adjust the instrument. Re-
adjustment can be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service partner.
