Warranty conditions
The warranty applies to all faults caused by material defects or by instrument malfunction. The warranty is
subject to adherence to the Instructions for Use and to the performance of maintenance and care of the
instrument without making any changes to the structure of the instrument. Within the warranty period, the
manufacturer guarantees free-of-charge repair under the following
conditions:
the claim is filed for faults occurring within the warranty period, within 15 days after the warranty
period expires at the latest
the product was used according to the manufacturer’s recommendations
the product is complete, including a confirmed warranty certificate
warranty inspections have been performed by the service organisation according to conditions
agreed in the order (purchase contract)
The user shall not fix product faults occurring within the warranty period but shall report them to the supplier,
who provides for their remedying within an agreed period of time. The warranty does not apply to natural
wear and tear of parts and to faults resulting from mechanical damage, overloading, unprofessional installation
or handling, use other than intended, or from natural disasters.
The supplier is not responsible for damage caused to persons, animals or things as a direct consequence of
non-observance of recommendations stated in the Instructions for Use.
The product cannot be fixed free of charge within the warranty:
upon not observing the way of use and maintenance of the product stated in the Instructions for
Use
upon damage and faults resulting from unprofessional and unsuitable installation of the product,
use of unsuitable sources and installations not conforming to technical regulations
upon any repairs, product modifications, changes or settings not authorized by the manufacturer
in advance
upon faults caused by natural disasters
upon any other than the intended use
upon damage obviously resulting from the use of incorrect voltage, short circuits or instability of
the supply network
after a previous repair performed by an unauthorized service partner
upon damage to components such as handles, glass, control switches, etc., resulting from their
functional wear
upon changes of the colour of plastic components (it is a common physical and chemical
phenomenon occurring after some time of use)
upon faults resulting from improper manipulation or treatment
upon interfering with the product by an unauthorized person
the warranty does not cover damage to the light-tight foil (only applies to instruments that contain
light-tight foils for the protection of detectors)
Other warranty conditions are individually agreed in the supply terms and conditions. Please submit your claim
in written form by post to the manufacturer’s address or via email to the address servis@vfnuclear.com;
include a description of the fault.
