As these examples show, VLANs offer incomparable flexibility. The following section
describes how VLANs can be deployed using the Switch.
8.5.1 VLAN Type (VLAN Configuration)
The “VLAN Type” menu let users select the VLAN type of the Switch.

Disabled The VLAN function is disabled.
Port-Based
Tag-Based
The VLAN function is enabled for Port-based VLANs.
The VLAN function is enabled for IEEE802.1Q VLANs
8.5.2 VLAN Configuration (Port-based)
The “Port-based” menu is for configuration of Port-Based VLAN. It is enabled only when
the VLAN Type is set as “Port-Based”.
