Clock Internal / Send / Auto / Auto-Thru
Please read the chapter "The Tempo" on page 124 for in-depth information about the Clock
parameter.
Arpeggiator Send Off / On
Determines whether Arpeggiator notes are sent by the microQ over MIDI.
If Off is selected, no notes are sent.
If On is selected, all notes are sent over MIDI Out (whenever the Arpeggiator is active).
Local (microQ Keyboard only) Off / On
Local
On
Determines, if the keyboard, pitch bend and modulation wheel are coupled to the internal tone
generation. When set to On, the microQ Keyboard sends all note information and controller data to
the tone generation and eventually over MIDI. When set to Off, the microQ Keyboard doesn’t send
any note information to its tone generation but works similar to a MIDI master keyboard.
This is one of the most important parameters when working in a MIDI setup. As soon as you
connect the microQ Keyboard to a sequencer by MIDI, you should set Local to Off. The MIDI
data flow then is as follows: when you play a note on the microQ Keyboard, it is send to the
sequencer. The sequencer eventually maps the note to a different MIDI channel and sends it
out through a specific MIDI port. With this method you can control your whole MIDI setup and
also play the microQ’s tone generation if you set the sequencer to send MIDI notes to the
microQ.

Ctl+SysEx! on
Controller Send Off / Ctl / SysEx / Ctl+SysEx
Determines how Real-Time Sound Parameter Changes are sent by the microQ over MIDI.
If Off is selected, no data is sent.
If Ctl is selected, only controller messages are sent. Parameters without a dedicated
controller are not sent at all.
If SysEx is selected, all Sound parameters are sent as system exclusive messages. This has
the advantage that the parameter change is not channel based but instrument based, which
can prevent unwanted parameter changes in layered sounds. The disadvantage is that a
larger amount of data is transferred.
If Ctl+SysEx is selected, all Sound parameters with a dedicated controller assignment are
sent as controller messages. All other Sound parameters are sent as system exclusive
messages. This is the recommended setting.
