11. Select the "Gradient tool" again and then the gradient type "Foreground to
Transparent".
12. Click and hold the mouse cursor somewhere on the left help line (the blue dot in the
picture below).
13. Keep holding down the mouse button, additionally hold down the shift key and
place the then displayed line in an area about two thirds to the right of the left help
line and one third to the left from the right help line as shown in the image above.
14. The result be look something like this...
