MALFUNCTION CAUSE SOLUTION
WATER LEAKS FROM THE MACHINE
t The pad does not drain.
t The drain pipe is broken or detached or the water
ow is obstructed.
t Hydraulic leaks in the hydraulic circuit.
t Check the sewer drain.
t Check and restore the connection of the drain pipe
to the pad.
t Identify and eliminate any hydraulic leaks.
COFFEE IS TOO COLD
t The electrical heating element of the coee boiler
is faulty.
t The wiring is faulty.
t Lime scale on the heating element.
t The heating element protection thermostat inter-
vened.
t Machine switch in “OFF” position.
t The control unit fuses F2-F3-F5-F6 are burned out.
t The safety thermostat of the boiler or group is
disabled.
t Replace the boiler's electrical heating element.
t Check for any faulty connections.
t Clean the machine.
t Reset the heating element protection.
t Place the main switch in the "ON" position.
t Replace the interrupted fuses.
t Reset the safety thermostat of the boiler or of the
group.
COFFEE IS TOO HOT
t The set temperature for the coee water is too high.
t The set temperature of the group is too high.
t Reduce the set coee water temperature.
t Reduce the group temperature.
COFFEE DISPENSED TOO QUICKLY
t Coee is ground too coarsely
t The dose of ground coee is too small.
t Adjust the grinding of the coee.
t Check the amount (weight) of the ground coee you
are using.
COFFEE DISPENSED TOO SLOWLY
t Coee is ground too nely.
t The delivery group is clogged.
t The lter holder is dirty.
t Adjust the grinding of the coee.
t Check and clean the delivery group.
t Clean and replace the lters, if necessary.
WET COFFEE GROUNDS
t The group solenoid valve drain is clogged.
t The dispensing unit is too cold
t Coee is ground too nely.
t There's not enough ground coee.
t Clean the group drain.
t Modify the heating temperature of the group.
t Adjust the grinding of the coee.
t Increase the amount of ground coee.
THE DISPLAY INDICATES UNACCEPTABLE
PRESSURE
t The pressure transducer is faulty.
t Incorrect motor pump calibration.
t Replace the pressure transducer.
t Adjust the calibration of the motor pump.
GROUNDS IN CUP
t The lter holder is dirty.
t The lter holes are worn.
t The coee is not ground evenly.
t The seal under the pad is worn
t The temperature of the delivery water is high.
t Clean the lter holder.
t Replace the lter.
t Replace the grinders.
t Replace the seal.
t Decrease the temperature of the groups and/or of
water used for coee preparation
INCORRECT COFFEE DELIVERY
THE COFFEE DOSE IS NOT MET
THE LED OF THE DOSE BUTTON FLASHES
t The connection of the volumetric dosing device is
faulty.
t The connection of the electronic control unit is faulty.
t The connector of the volumetric dosing device has
humidity on it.
t The volumetric dosing device is faulty: during delivery
the dosing device, LED does not ash.
t The coee is ground too nely: there is not sucient
water ow in the dosing device.
t The non-return valve loses pressure (the dose is too
small).
t The drain valves lose pressure (the dose is too small).
t Water leakage from the group solenoid valve during
coee delivery or when in stand-by.
t The volumetric dosing device is partially obstructed.
t Check for proper connection of the volumetric dosing
device connector.
t Check for proper connection of the 8-pin connector of
the electronic control unit.
t Remove the connector of the volumetric dosing device
and thoroughly dry the contacts.
t Replace the heads of the volumetric dosing device or
replace the dosing device.
t Adjust the grinding suitably and check the grinders,
if necessary.
t Check and replace the non-return valve, if necessary.
t Check and replace the drain valves, if necessary.
t Clean and replace the solenoid valve, if necessary.
t Clean or replace the volumetric dosing device.
