8.3 Lube oil filter
8.3.1 Lube oil filter construction
The lube oil filter is a full-flow paper element type and a cartridge type easy to remove.
It is mounted to the side of the cylinder body with the filter bracket.
To prevent seizure in the event of the filter clogging, a bypass circuit is provided in the oil filter. The
bypass valve in the filter element opens when the difference in the pressure in front and behind the
paper element reaches 0.08-0.12MPa (0.8-1.2kg/cm
2
). Then the lube oil will flow in the bypass circuit.
