(7) Check the leakage of water, lube oil and
fuel.
Before and after starting the engine, check the
leakage of coolant and seawater from coolant
system. Also check the leakage of lube oil and
fuel.
(8) Check/adjust the remote control operation
Make sure that the accelerator of a boat can be
operated smoothly before starting the engine.
If it feels heavy to manipulate, lubricate the
accelerator cable joints and pivots. Adjust the
accelerator cable if there is a dislocation or
excessive play between the accelerator and the
governor lever.
