5.14 Functional safety - safety relevant parameters
This chapter describes characteristics associated to functional safety
. According to IEC
61508, safety initially means that the overall system has a residual error probability
smaller than the limits specified in the standard. In relation to the overall application,
internal safety-relevant device faults must be recognised and lead to a safe state.
