Procedureofversionrestorationisbasicallythesameasversion
upgrade.
Asmentionedpreviously,theZXR105900/5200supportscong-
urationleimport/export.Copythecongurationlestartrun.dat
tothebackgroundhostoverFTP/TFTP ,whereeditthelewitha
certaintexteditor ,andthencopythelebacktotheforeground
Flash’sCFGdirectoryoverFTP/TFTP.Thelewilltakeeffectthe
nexttimethesystemisrebooted.
Note:
1.WhenusecopycommandtotransferFTPlebetweenback
hostandswitch,srtcongurehostipaddressinthesame
networksegmentthatVLANinterfaceipaddressisinandthe
interfacewhichhostconnectsbelongstothevlanandcanping
throughVlanipaddress.
2.Payattentiontotheformatrequirementwhileediting
startrun.datwithatexteditor .
SoftwareVersionUpgrade
Normally,versionupgradeisneededonlywhentheoriginalver-
siondoesnotsupportsomefunctionsortheequipmentcannot
runnormallyduetosomespecialreasons.Ifversionupgradeop-
erationsareperformedimproperly,upgradefailuremayoccuror
thesystemfailstostart.Therefore,beforeversionupgrade,the
maintenancepersonnelmustbefamiliarwiththeprinciplesand
operationsoftheZXR105900/5200andlearntheupgradesteps
earnestly.
UpgradingtheVersionatAbnormality
ToupgradetheversionforZXR105900/5200inabnormalcase,
performthefollowingsteps.
1.SettheswitchmanagementEthernetportIPaddressandback-
groundhostinthesamenetworksection.
2.RefertoFTP/TFTPOverview,startthebackgroundFTPserver
3.RebootZXR105900/5200,andpressanykeyatpromptina
HyperTerminalsessiontoentertheBootstate.Thedisplayis
