When you use IP alias, you can also configure firewall rules to control access between the LAN's
logical networks (subnets).
Note: Make sure that the subnets of the logical networks do overlap.
The following figure shows a LAN divided into subnets A, B, and C.

7.5.1 Configuring the LAN IP Alias Screen
Use this screen to change your Device’s IP alias settings. Click Network > LAN > IP Alias to open
the following screen.

A: 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.24
B: 192.168.2.1 - 192.168.2.24
C: 192.168.3.1 - 192.168.3.24

LABEL DESCRIPTION
IP Alias Select the check box to configure another LAN network for the Device.
IP Address Enter the IP address of your Device in dotted decimal notation.
Alternatively, click the right mouse button to copy and/or paste the IP address.
IP Subnet Mask Your Device will automatically calculate the subnet mask based on the IP address that
you assign. Unless you are implementing subnetting, use the subnet mask computed by
the Device.
Apply Click this to save your changes.
Cancel Click this to restore your previously saved settings.
