10.4 Updating the Analyzer Software
Abaxis provides software updates on CD-ROM to registered owners of the VetScan VS2 Ana-
lyzer. Replacement software is mailed immediately whenever a new software version is released.
See Section 5.6, “Viewing Analyzer Identification” to determine the software version installed in
the analyzer. Contact Abaxis Technical Service immediately at 1-800-822-2947 if the software
version is not the most recent release.
Note: Be sure to update the software every time you receive an update CD
from Abaxis.
CAUTION: Updating software can return the VS2 to its default settings, and delete any
stored records and custom reference ranges. Be sure to archive your data
before beginning the update. (You will also have a chance to cancel the proce-
dure after beginning.)
Contact Abaxis Technical Service for information on software updates and how
they can affect your VS2.
1. In the Home screen, press the Settings icon.
2. Press the More Settings icon.
3. Press the Software Update icon.
4. Place the CD in the drawer, press the drawer in to close it, then
press Continue.
