11.1 Transmission Specifications
Note: The exact contents of the printed results are transmitted. In some cases
a backslash ( \ ) should be interpreted as a foreslash ( / ). For example,
“mmo\L” is equivalent to “mmol/L” and “mmo\L” is “mmol/L” in the
transmitted results.
11.2 Enabling the VetScan VS2 Communication
Protocol
The VetScan VS2 can communicate with computers running Microsoft Windows (2000, XP, or
Vista), Macintosh OS X, or Linux (kernel 2.4 or above).
To enable this communication, you must set the VS2’s communication protocol as follows:
1. Follow the procedure given in steps 1 through 3 of “Setting Communication Protocol” on
page 5-29.
2. In the Set Protocol screen, select ASCII Text.
