5.8.2 Adjusting KPROP
The KPROP term can be used to reduce following error. Its value will usually be much
smaller than the value used for an equivalent current controlled system. A fractional value,
for example 0.1, will probably be a good starting figure which can then be increased slowly.
1. Click in the KPROP box and enter a starting
value of 0.1.
2. Click Go.
The NextMove e100 will perform the move and the motor will turn. As the soon as the
move is completed, Mint WorkBench will upload captured data from the NextMove e100.
The data will then be displayed in the Capture window as a graph.
Note: The graph that you see will not look exactly the same as the graph shown here!
Remember that each motor has a different response.
3. Using the check boxes below the graph,
select the Measured position and Demand
position traces.
