2.3.2 Sweep Source Mode

Repeat scan can be stopped and paused in the same manner as single scan.
NOTE: For single scan or repeat scan, the step time may be extended up to approx-
imately 50 ms at the memory number in which the output value of thermal
electromotive force is set.
2.3.2 Sweep Source Mode
The sweep source mode is a function that changes the source value gradually between the designated start
value and stop value by the step value.
2.3.2.1 Setting Sweep Conditions
Executing sweep requires the following parameters to be set.
The start, stop, step and bias values can be set to values in different ranges respectively, however the opti-
mum range that can output any of these values is fixed when sweep is executed.
Setting the start value
The start value can be set for each source function : voltage, current and thermal elec-
tromotive force.
The start value is set using MENU, SWEEP and START.
The start value for the currently set source function can be set from the menu.
The input value is set in the optimum range regardless of the currently set range.
1. Press MENU.
2. Select ..2.. SWEEP with , or , and enter the Select level with .
3. Select START with , or , and enter the Input/Run level with .
Parameter Contents
Start value The start value, stop value and step value for sweep operation.
These values can be set for voltage, current and thermal electromotive
force respectively.
Stop value
Step value
Bias value The output value before sweep starts.
It can be set for voltage, current and thermal electromotive force
respectively.
Step time The step time for single sweep or repeat sweep.
Return to bias Specifies whether the source value returns to the bias value or stays at
the stop value when single sweep stops reaching the stop value.
