CYLINDER HEAD WARP INSPECTION
Lay a straight across the surface of the head at several
difference points and measure warpage by in
gauge between the straight edge and the cylinder head surface.
If warpage exceeds the service limit, replace the cylinder head.
Cylinder head warp limit: 0.05mm
Combustion chamber inspection
Clean all accumulated carbon deposite from com
chamber and valve seat area with a soft wire brush. Inpection
the combustion chamber for cracks and damage from foreign
Low pressure compressed air can blow debris
into your face and eyes. Always wear eye
protection or a face shield
pressurized air. Failure to take adequate safety
precautions could result in death or serious injury.
Repeat the measurement. If warpage exceeds the service
limit, replace the cylinder.
Cylinder warp limit: 0.02mm
NOTE: Keep all parts in order with respect to their
location in the cylinder head.
