Rear Brake Service

NOTE: Follow the “Swing Arm Removal” procedure

outlined in Chapter 6 to access the rear brake

components.

1. Follow the “Swing Arm Removal” procedure to the point

where the rear brake disc housing can be accessed.

NOTE: You do not need to fully disassemble the rear

axle / swing arm to service the rear brakes.

2. Inspect the brake pads contact disc surface and the axle

housing seal surface for excessive wear, pitting, or damage.

Replace if necessary.
