• Check the correct grounding of the unit before starting.
• The external paneling of the unit must be connected to the
ground line. Do not connect the ground line to the gas line,
water line, lightning rod or communication line, this may cause
electric shock.
• Disconnect the unit from the mains using the external discon
-
nect switch before opening the electrical panel.
• In the case of units with power factor correction capacitors,
wait 3 minutes, from when the power supply to the unit has
been disconnected, before accessing the electrical panel.
• If the unit is equipped with centrifugal compressors with inte
-
grated inverter, disconnect the power supply and wait at least
15 minutes before accessing it for maintenance: the internal
components remain live for this period, generating the risk of
electrocution.
• The safety devices must be maintained in efficiency and
checked periodically as prescribed by the regulations in force.
• Do not stop or start the operation of the unit by unplugging it
by inserting the power plug into the electrical socket.
• In case of disassembly of a piece, make sure it is correctly reas
-
sembled before restarting the unit.
• Even with the unit switched off, prevent the fluids in contact
with the heat exchangers from exceeding the temperature lim
-
its indicated in the documentation or freezing.
• The machine must be used only for the use for which it is made;
any other use can be dangerous and invalidates the guarantee.
• Install the unit at a sufficient distance from the drainage wells,
to prevent any gas leaks from reaching and polluting the aq
-
uifer.
• Pressing the ON / OFF button turns the unit on or off, howev
-
er the unit remains powered even if placed in the OFF state
(standby), to remove voltage it is necessary to disconnect it
from the circuit breaker.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced in order to
avoid any dangers. Replace the power cord only with a cord of
the type indicated in the manual. This operation must only be
carried out by "personnel with specific technical skills".
• If you smell burning, disconnect the power immediately, then
contact the service center. If the anomaly persists, the unit
could be damaged and cause electric shocks or fires.
GENERAL SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
• Take into account the risks, measures, advice and recommen-
dations given in the refrigerant safety data sheet.
• During the entire life of the refrigerating system (transport,
storage, installation, operation and maintenance):
• provide adequate ventilation,
• do not place or store the refrigeration system in confined
spaces;
• avoid spaces where gases could fall and stagnate,
• avoid naked flames and sources of ignition in the vicinity of
the refrigerating system.
• DANGER the refrigeration system could accidentally re
-
lease potentially flammable refrigerant gases mixed with
air: avoid naked flames or sources of ignition in the vicinity
of the refrigeration system.
• DANGER of fire in the presence of an ignition source:ù
• The flames could cause the emission of hydrogen fluoride.
• Hazardous decomposition products (pyrolysis products con
-
taining fluoride, fluorocarbon, hydrogen fluoride) may be re-
leased. See the safety data sheets.
PREVENTIONS
• Make sure the correct positioning of the protections on the
moving elements before restarting the unit.
• Once installation is complete, check the correctness and in
-
tegrity of all the refrigeration, electrical and hydraulic lines to
avoid water leaks, accidental electric shocks or fires.
• Fans, motors and belt drives may be in motion: before access
-
ing them, always wait for them to stop and take appropriate
precautions to prevent them from being activated.
• The machine and the pipes have very hot and very cold sur
-
faces which pose a risk of burns.
• Before opening a paneling of the machine, check whether or
not it is solidly connected to it by means of hinges.
• Heat exchanger fins, edges of components and metal panels
can generate cuts.
• The installation must ensure that the temperature of the fluid
entering the unit is kept stable and within the established lim
-
its; therefore pay attention to the adjustment of any external
heat exchange and control devices (drycoolers, evaporative
towers, zone valves, ...), to the adequate sizing of the mass of
fluid circulating in the system (especially when areas of the sys
-
tem are excluded) and to install systems for the recirculation of
the necessary flow rate of fluid in order to keep the tempera
-
tures on the machine within the allowed limits (for example
during the start-up phase).
• The material used for the protective packaging of the machine
must always be kept out of the reach of children as it is a source
of danger.
• In units with compressors in parallel, do not disable individual
compressors for long periods of time.
• This is a device that is not accessible to the public.
• The unit cannot be used by children and by people without
experience or the necessary knowledge.
• To protect the unit against short circuits, mount an omnipo
-
lar magnetothermic switch on the power line with a minimum
contact distance of at least 3mm on all poles.
• Under no circumstances should you start the compressor by
manually switching off the emergency stop button (AC contac
-
tor), this could cause electric shocks and fires.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced in order to
avoid any dangers. Replace the power cord only with a cord of
the type indicated in the manual. This operation must only be
performed by "Personnel with specific technical skills".
• The appliance must be installed in accordance with national
plant regulations.
• Do not touch, without suitable PPE, parts of the unit that can
reach high temperatures such as parts of the compressor and
refrigeration lines, as they could cause burns.
• Do not touch the unit if you are barefoot and with wet or damp
parts of the body.
• Never insert your fingers or objects into the unit. This could
cause injuries caused by the high rotation speed of the internal
fans.
• Never place objects near the air supply or units, as they could
reduce performance or increase noise.
• If the unit is not used for a long time, it is recommended to
drain the plumbing system.
• Do not let the unit operate outside the intended application
range, it may cause the heat exchange tube to break, refriger
-
ant leakage or even explode.
• Do not operate the unit directly with your hands.
