SAFETY STANDARDS  R32 GAS
WARNINGS FOR R32 REFRIGERANT GAS
The unit uses R32 refrigerant gas
The refrigerant gas is odourless.
R32 refrigerant gas is flammable.
The unit contains under pressure refrigerant gas: no operation
must be performed on under pressure equipment except
during maintenance that must be carried out by competent
and authorised personnel.
If the R32 refrigerant is dispersed into the environment in an
area that is not properly ventilated, it could give rise to the
formation of potentially explosive atmospheres.
Smoking near the unit is prohibited.
Provide signage prohibiting smoking near the unit.
The R32 refrigerant fluid is classified A2L according to ISO 817
(non-toxic, odorless and slightly flammable refrigerant).
Do not use the refrigerant improperly, this could cause fires
and explosions.
Make sure the unit is installed in a well-ventilated place.
Do not puncture or burn the unit or the pipes of the refrigerant
gas circuit.
The unit contains greenhouse effect fluoride gases covered
by the Kyoto Protocol. The law prohibits its dispersion in the
environment and requires its recovery and delivery to the
dealer or collection centre.
Keep fire extinguishers near the machine suitable for putting
out fires on electrical equipment and, for lubricant oil of the
compressor and the refrigerant as provided by the relative
safety data sheets (for example a CO fire extinguisher).
The overall assessment of the fire risk of the installation site (eg
calculation of the fire load) is the responsibility of the user.
The unit cannot be placed near ignition sources such as open
flames, electric heaters, etc.
The unit is equipped with overpressure release devices
(safety valves): if these devices intervene, the refrigerant
gas is released at high temperature and speed.
Periodically check that the unit's air outlets and vents are not
blocked.
Make sure that all components of the refrigeration system are
installed in a location that is not exposed to any substance that
could cause corrosion damage.
Any extraordinary maintenance or repairs on the unit must be
carried out by specialized technicians or qualified personnel.
During the installation and maintenance procedures make
sure that no substance or material mixes with the refrigerant;
be equally careful not to let air into the refrigerant pipes, this
could cause an increase in the pressure in the circuit or the
compressor to explode.
Do not use mixtures of refrigerant vapor and air or oxygen to
pressurize the unit for fear of causing an explosion.
A gas leak test must be carried out after installation.
Personnel approaching the unit must be competent in the
use of this refrigerant and comply with current regulations.
Evaluate procedures prescribed by Aermec and fire regulations
to avoid inconsistencies between our prescriptions and the
regulations in force.
R32 GAS ADVANTAGES
Compared to common refrigerants, R32 gas is a non-polluting
refrigerant with a lower environmental impact with a GWP
index of 675.
R32 has excellent thermodynamic features that lead to high
energy efficiency.
WARNINGS FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR
These procedures may only be followed by specialised
technicians or qualified personnel.
The unit contains pressurized refrigerant gas: no operation
must be performed on the pressure equipment except
during the maintenance which we remind must be carried
out by competent and qualified personnel.
Make sure that the maintenance area meets the required
requirements.
It is not allowed to work on the units in closed rooms but only
in open and well ventilated spaces.
Make sure the maintenance area is well ventilated. The state of
good ventilation must be maintained for the entire duration of
the intervention.
Using a special gas detector, check that there are no gas leaks
in the environment before working on the unit.
Verify that there are no ignition sources near the unit.
Smoking is prohibited near the unit.
Mark the prohibition of smoking near the unit with adequate
signs.
Make sure that the signs on board the unit are in good
condition; if this is not the case, replace it before working on
the unit.
WARNING:
Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean,
other than those recommended by the manufacture.
Should repair be necessary, contact your nearest authorized Service Centre.
Any repairs carried out by unqualified personnel may be dangerous.
The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating
ignition sources. (for example: open flames , an operating gas applianc
e
or an operating electric heater.)
Do not pierce or burn.
Appliance filled with flammable gas R32. For repairs, strictly follow
manufacturer’s instructions only.
Be aware that refrigerants not contain odour. Read specialists manual
