• The unit must be placed on a solid and perfectly level
foundation. The place of installation must be designed and
built by subjects in possession of the technical-professional
qualifications for the installation, transformation, expansion
and maintenance of the systems and able to verify the same
for the purposes of safety and functionality.
• A rubber mat must be placed under the base of each unit
making sure it is properly secured to the ground. Alternatively,
the units can be installed on top of beams, making sure to
properly secure the unit to the same beam. The distance
between each unit must be at least 500 mm.
• Sufficient space must be left around the unit and between
units for maintenance operations and to maintain adequate
ventilation. It is also necessary to make sure that there is at
least 1000 mm between the unit and any barrier installed and
at least 1200 mm to the side of the water inlet and outlet pipes.
If necessary, provide a front cover, designed to protect the unit
from sunlight, at least 3 meters from the unit.
• The following requirements only indicate the minimum
technical spaces necessary to ensure adequate heat
exchange to the refrigeration circuits of the units. It is
absolutely necessary that the system designer carries out
a risk assessment in order to define the requirements of
the installation site, suitable spaces and any other safety
measures that allow to avoid the risk of formation of
explosive atmospheres. . This analysis and the resulting
requirements are the responsibility of the system designer;
any additional or more restrictive requirements with
respect to those reported in this manual and derived from
the above risk analysis must be strictly followed during the
installation phase. AERMEC cannot be held responsible for
any damage due to the failure or incomplete application
of the provisions deriving from the aforementioned risk
analysis, or for any shortcomings or deficiencies in the risk
assessment phase itself.
ATTENTION
Correct installation of the unit must provide for compli
-
ance with all the instructions contained in this manual,
with all the standards and regulations in force (EN 378,
national or local standards) and in any case an analysis of
the additional risks by the designer of the 'plant.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION
• Do not install the unit in a place that could be subject to
flammable gas leaks or deposits of flammable, explosive,
poisonous, dangerous or corrosive substances. Do not
keep naked flames near the units. This could result in fire or
explosion. Install the unit in places with minimal amounts of
dust, fumes, humidity in the air and corrosive agents.
• The installation of the unit must ensure proper drainage of the
defrost water.
• Make sure there is NEVER accumulation of snow on top of
the unit. During the installation phase, it is necessary to
consider any accumulations of snow by providing appropriate
elevations to the base where the unit will be installed.
• Provide at least 300 mm of free space between the base of the
unit and the floor and at least 100 mm above the snow level.
