WARNING: Please read this manual carefully before repairing or
performing maintenance on the unit.
This product is a complex machine. Things and persons may be
exposed to risks during installation, operation, maintenance or
repair, caused by certain conditions or components, such as for
example, but not only, refrigerant, oils, moving mechanical parts
pressure, heat sources, electricity.
This products and its documentation, including this manual, are
intended for persons in possession of appropriate training to
enable them to operate correctly and safely. Before performing
any operation on this equipment, it is essential for the operat
-
ing personnel to have read and understood all manuals and any
other material of reference. They must also know and observe the
standards applicable to the activities to be performed.
ATTENTION
Any intervention on the unit must be performed by author
-
ised and qualified experienced technicians, in accordance
with current regulations.
The unit shows the following risks:
• Risk of electric discharges.
• Risk of injuries due to rotating parts.
• Risk of injuries due to sharp edges and heavy weights.
• Risk of injuries due to high pressure gas.
• Risk of injuries due to high or low temperatures of compo
-
nents.
• Substances inside the water.
• Fire risk.
• In the event of the refrigerant catching fire, hazardous gas
-
es may be generated.
It is vital that all work on the unit is performed in compliance
with the local standards. All work on the system must be per
-
formed to perfection.
PRECAUTIONS AGAINST RESIDUAL RISKS
INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not install this unit indoors but only outdoors making sure
there is adequate ventilation.
• The installation of the unit must be carried out by specialized
technicians or by qualified personnel who have obtained the
certificate to be able to work with these gases. The installation
must comply with the laws and regulations in force and respect
what is written in this manual, otherwise damage to the unit,
water leaks, electrocution or fire risks, etc. may occur.
• Do not install the unit in a place that could be subject to flam
-
mable gas leaks or deposits of flammable, explosive, poison-
ous, dangerous or corrosive substances. Do not keep naked
flames near the units. This could result in fire or explosion. In
-
stall the unit in places with minimal amounts of dust, fumes,
humidity in the air and corrosive agents.
• Do not install the machine near strong magnetic fields, in
highly basic or acidic environments or where the power supply
voltage is unstable.
• Before installing the unit, check that the power adopted com
-
plies with that indicated on the packaging label on the unit.
• Install the unit according to the requirements of this manual.
The electrical connections must only be carried out by
specialized technicians or qualified personnel. Lines with
inadequate power could cause electrocution and fire.
Regularly perform all maintenance operations provided for in
this manual.
• Wear protective equipment (gloves, eye protection, helmet,
...) suitable for the operations to be performed; do not wear
clothes or accessories that can become entangled or sucked
in by the air flows; collect and tie hair to the garment before
accessing the unit.
• Volatile liquids, such as thinner or benzine, can damage the
unit. Clean the outside of the unit only with a soft, dry cloth or
a damp cloth with neutral detergent.
• The transport of the unit must be carried out in accordance
with the regulations in force taking into account the charac
-
teristics of the fluids contained and their characterization de-
scribed in the safety data sheet.
• The installation must comply with the requirements of EN 378-
3 and local regulations in force, must ensure adequate ventila
-
tion and provide refrigerant detectors when necessary.
• The unit must be installed in suitable and non-explosive places;
in particular if intended for outdoor use, it cannot be installed
indoors.
• The machines must be installed in structures protected from
atmospheric discharges as required by applicable laws and
technical standards.
• The overall assessment of the fire risk of the place of installa
-
tion (for example calculation of the fire load) is the responsibil-
ity of the user.
• Keep fire extinguishers close to the machine suitable for extin
-
guishing fires on electrical equipment and suitable for the lu-
bricating oil of the compressor and the refrigerant as required
by the relevant safety data sheets (for example a CO2 fire ex
-
tinguisher).
• Neither walking nor placing other bodies is allowed on the
units.
• Make the system connections to the unit following the instruc
-
tions given in this manual.
• The unit has been designed to be permanently connected to a
water mains and not to be connected via a flexible hose.
• It is mandatory to install a water filter at the inlet of the heat
exchanger on the plant side, under penalty of forfeiture of the
warranty.
• Do not bend or hit pipes containing pressurized fluids.
• Do not exceed the maximum allowable pressure (PS) of the
unit water circuit shown on the registration plate.
• Before removing elements along the pressurized water cir
-
cuits, intercept the section of piping concerned and gradually
evacuate the fluid until the pressure is balanced with the at
-
mospheric one.
• Do not operate with open flames near the unit.
• The unit is equipped with overpressure release devic
-
es (safety valves): if these devices intervene, the refrig-
erant gas is released at high temperature and speed.
Prevent the projection of the gas from damaging people or
things; if necessary, properly convey the discharges according
to the requirements of EN 378-3 and local regulations in force,
paying particular attention to conveying fluids belonging to a
safety group other than A.
• Store all lubricants in properly marked containers.
• Do not store flammable liquids near the system.
• Do not remove the protections from the moving elements
while the unit is in operation.
• Do not use cables of inadequate section or flying connections,
even for limited periods or for emergencies.
