INSTALLATION
WARNINGS FOR INSTALLATION
The installation and electrical connections of the units and their
accessories must only be carried out by persons in possession
of the technical-professional requirements to qualify for the
installation, transformation, expansion and maintenance of the
systems and able to verify the same. for the purposes of safety
and functionality. In this manual they will be generically referred
to as "Personnel with specific technical competence".
Before carrying out any intervention, make sure that the power
supply is disconnected.
For installation, be sure to use only the accessories and specific
parts; Failure to observe this precaution could result in electric
shock, electrical leakage, or fire.
Incorrect installation can cause water leaks, electrocutions or
fires.
After a period of prolonged use, check that the installation
conditions of the units have not been altered, have the system
checked by a qualified technician.
Do not change the units! Do not try to repair the units yourself,
it is very dangerous!
Incorrect interventions can cause electric shocks, water leaks,
fires, etc.
Consult your dealer or the local Assistance Service, the
interventions can only be carried out by "Personnel with
specific technical skills".
INSTALLATION POSITION
Install in a place not accessible to the public and / or away from
access by unauthorized persons, if necessary also provide for
the installation of fences.
Install on a solid surface that can support the weight of the
unit.
Make sure that the support is securely installed and the unit is
absolutely stable even after having operated for an extended
period. If it is not secured properly, the unit could fall and cause
injury.
Avoid places within reach of children.
Do not install the unit in a place that could be subject to
flammable gas leaks. This could cause fire. Install the unit in
places with minimal amounts of dust, fumes and humidity
in the air, in brackish coastal areas or in particular areas near
sulphurous hot springs, consult your dealer, before installation,
to make sure that you can use the drive safely.
INSTALLATION
For the installation of the units it is important to perform the
following preliminary preparation activities:
At the time of installation, make sure that atmospheric
or environmental agents cannot attack and corrode the
components of the refrigeration circuit, causing refrigerant
leaks into the environment and, if necessary, take the
appropriate precautions.
The units have been designed for outdoor installation. Consult
Aermec before carrying out any other type of installation.
The ground under the unit must be flat, uniform and with
sufficient strength to withstand the weight of the unit with the
full refrigerant charge, in addition to the occasional presence
of normal maintenance equipment.
In places exposed to frost, if the unit is installed on the ground,
the support base must rest on concrete columns with a depth
greater than the normal freezing depth of the ground. It is
always advisable to build a support base independent of the
main building to avoid the transmission of vibrations.
If the unit is installed in a place potentially subject to snow
accumulation or ice formation in the base, arrange for it to be
lifted from the ground to a height of at least 300 mm from the
ground.
For normal applications, the stiffness of the unit and the
positioning of the point loads allow an installation that
minimizes vibrations. In the case of installations that require
particularly low levels of vibration, anti-vibration mounts can
be used.
ATTENTION: the use of anti-vibration mounts MUST be
combined with the installation of flexible couplings in the
unit's water pipes. The anti-vibration mounts must be fixed
to the unit BEFORE being connected to the ground. The
choice of the capacity of the anti-vibration mounts is not the
responsibility of AERMEC.
The unit must be fixed to the anti-vibration mounts and
the latter firmly fixed to the concrete base, see the weight
distribution and minimum technical spaces chapter.
Check that the contact surfaces of the anti-vibration mounts
are level with the base. If necessary, use spacers or level the
base, but in any case, make sure that the anti-vibration mounts
rest flat on the surface of the base.
Once installation is complete, check the correctness and
integrity of all the refrigeration, electrical and hydraulic lines to
avoid water leaks, accidental electric shocks or fires.
It is essential that the units are installed with sufficient
space around them to allow easy access to components for
maintenance and repair purposes. If the air coming out of the
condensers encounters any obstacle, it tends to return to the
fans. This produces an increase in the temperature of the air
used to cool the condensers. Obstructions on the air outlet
also compromise the distribution of air over the entire heat
exchange surface of the condenser. Both of these conditions,
which reduce the heat exchange capacity of the coils, cause
an increase in the condensation pressure. This leads to a loss of
power and an increase in compressor absorption.
ATTENTION: It is important that the units are installed level.
Incorrect installation of the unit invalidates the warranty.
