EMPTYING THE SYSTEM
ANTIFREEZE PROTECTION IN WINTER
Loosen the screws that secure the front panel.
Remove the panel.
Turn the tap located in the lower part of the unit anticlockwise
to allow the chilled water to drain. Once this has been done
and checked that the drain is working, tighten the blind plug
and reinstall the panel.
NOTE
Correctly place the water drain pan under the drain tap to
avoid pollution caused by the drained water.
NOTE
Always keep the vent valve of the hydronic system open
to allow the circuit to completely drain the shell and tube
exchanger.

If you plan not to use the unit for a long time, you need to perform
internal and external cleaning.
In particularly mild environments and when the unit is not used for a
long period of time, it is necessary to completely empty the shell and
tube exchanger to avoid damage caused by freezing.
Alternatively, it is possible to add antifreeze liquid to the water in the
circuit.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The units in the factory are fully wired and only need to be
connected to the power supply network, downstream of a group
switch, in accordance with the regulations in force in the country
of installation.
It is also suggested to verify that:
The characteristics of the electrical network are adequate for
the absorptions indicated in the electrical data table, also
considering any other machinery in simultaneous operation.
The unit should only be powered when the installation works
(plumbing and electrical) have been completed.
The instructions for connecting the phase and earth conductors
are respected.
The power supply line must have a special protection upstream
against short circuits and earth leaks that sections the system
with respect to other utilities.
The voltage must be within a tolerance of ± 10% of the rated
power supply voltage of the machine (maximum 3% imbalance
between phases for three-phase units). If these parameters are
not respected, contact the electricity supplier.
For electrical connections, use double-insulated cables
in accordance with the regulations in force in the various
countries.
Be sure to connect the system to the power supply or to
an outlet of adequate voltage and frequency as indicated
on the nameplate. Power supply with the wrong voltage
and frequency could cause damage to the unit, with the
consequent risk of fire. The voltage must be stable, there must
be no large fluctuations.
Do not apply any type of permanent inductive or capacitive
load to the electrical circuit of the unit after verifying that this
load does not involve an excess voltage and / or electrical
current permitted by the device in use.
Is required:
The use of an omnipolar magneto-thermal switch, compliant
with current regulations (contact opening of at least 3 mm),
with adequate breaking capacity and differential protection
according to the electrical data table below, installed as close
as possible to the appliance.
Make an effective earth connection. The manufacturer cannot
be held responsible for any damage caused by the failure and
ineffective earthing of the appliance.
Make sure that the wiring is carried out in compliance with the
laws and regulations in force and with this manual.
For units with three-phase power supply, check the correct
connection of the phases.
Use only copper wires.
The power supply cable must be reliable and fixed, in order to
avoid damage caused by tearing at the cable terminal.
Do not make any joints on the power cable but use a longer
cable, replacement with cables with the same characteristics
is mandatory. Joints can cause overheating or fire. Have the
repairs carried out by "Personnel with specific technical skills".
All power lines must use ferrule terminals or single wires.
Stranded cables without ferrules could cause electrical bridges.
ATTENTION
For installation requirements, refer to the wiring diagram
supplied with the appliance. The wiring diagram together
with the manuals must be kept carefully and made avail
-
able for future work on the unit.
