The addition of glycol is the only effective method of protection
against freezing, the glycol / water solution must be sufficiently
concentrated to ensure adequate protection and prevent the for
-
mation of ice at the minimum temperature expected for a given
installation.
Take the following measures for frost protection.
In order for the unit to automatically perform low temperature
defrosting, make sure that the water pump is working correctly
and at the same time as the unit itself.
When the unit operates in cooling mode in sub-zero conditions,
it is necessary to add antifreeze liquid to the water circuit as
indicated in the following table.
In sub-zero conditions it is not necessary to interrupt the power
supply to the unit if it will not operate in cooling mode for a
short period of time. If the unit is to be taken out of operation
for an extended period of time, disconnect the power supply
and drain the system completely.
