3 Operating in Electron Impact (EI) Mode

To Remove the Upper RIS Cover

The upper RIS cover is in front of the instrument (Figure 19).

Remove it to access the latches on the analyzer cover, attach the

RIS probe, or access the EI calibration vial. Do not remove the

upper RIS cover for any other reasons.

Procedure

1 Grasp the cover by the outside corners.

2 Pull the cover straight up, and remove it from the

instrument.
