Occasional
maintenance
of
the
unit

care

optimize

clean

cabinet
Use
a
soft
cloth
lightly
moistened
with
a
mild
detergent
solution.
Do
not
use
strong
solvents
such
as
alcohol,
benzine
or
thinner.

clean

heads
and
tape
paths
After
every
10
hours
of
use,
clean
the
heads
and
tape
paths
with
a
head
cleaning
cassette
or
cotton
swab
moistened
with
cleaning
fluid
or
denatured
alcohol.
(These
cleaning
kits
are
commercially
available.)

cleaning
with
a
cotton

the
recording/playback
head

liquid
head
cleaning
cassette
or
a
moistened
swab,
wait
until
the
cleaned
parts
are
completely
dried
before
inserting
tapes.
Care

discs

Before
playing
a
disc,
wipe
it
from
the
centre
out
with
a
cleaning
cloth.

leave

disc
in
places
that

hot
or

Care

tapes

Store
tapes
in
their
cases
after

source
of
magnetism.
This
will
downgrade
the
sound
quality
and
cause
noise.

direct
sunlight,
or
leave
them

car
parked

sunlight.
