CENTER SUPPORT
The central support is vital for the stability and the support of the shell ring in the case
where the diameters to be obtained during the curving process are large. This support keeps
the material stable, avoiding variations in the radius due to the weight of the sheet. The
support is entirely hydraulic, with a piston and two guides that allow the vertical movements
necessary during processing.
In the figrure below, construction line shows the desired radius, solid line shows the radius
obtained without the center support. ( FIGURE 1 )
