OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Section I: Introduction
This Chapter tells you how to turn the Power Supply on, use menu screens to customize operating
parameters, match the Power Supply to your welding system, and how to operate the Power Supply. This
chapter is divided into the following sections:

Programming Weld Schedules
Programming The Weld Monitor
Programming For Active Part Conditioning
Operation
Before operating the Power Supply, you must be familiar with the following:
The location and function of Controls and Indicators. For more information, see Chapter 1 of
this manual.
How to select and use the Control functions for your specific welding applications. For more
information, see Chapter 3, Using UB25 Welding and Monitoring Functions.
The principles of resistance welding and the use of programmed weld schedules. For more
information, see Appendix C, The Basics of Resistance Welding.
For additional information on the welding process, see Appendix D, Quality Resistance Welding Solutions,
Defining the Optimum Process.
