2.9 Optional Settings
Some of the optional settings in UPAC are included in the basic licence, other requires an
additional licence. Refer to 1.2 How to Use this Document on page 2.
• Alarm Handling – alarm actions can be set (type of trigger and what action to take).
Refer to chapter 4.6 Alarm Handling on page 21.
• Fault Handling – actions on an incoming fault can be set. Possible actions are output
activity triggering, sending a message, sending a fault notification via SNMP Trap or via
E-mail. The actions start depending on trigger conditions. Refer to chapter 10.2 Fault
Handling on page 48.
• Survey System – makes it possible to survey other Unite modules in the system. Refer to
chapter 4.4 System Survey of Unite modules on page 16.
• Supervision – makes it possible to supervise the system. Refer to chapter 10 System
Supervision and Security on page 39.
• Activity Logging – incoming activities can be filtered and stored. The logs can be
manually and automatically exported for future analysis. Refer to chapter 10.3 Activity
Logging on page 53.
• Status – information about the site and information about supervised modules and
equipment can be exported for troubleshooting purposes. Refer to chapter 4.7 Status
on page 27.
• Set Language – it is possible to translate the user interface language, refer to chapter
12.1 Customize the Language on page 65.
• Input/Output setup – makes it possible to define inputs (for example a switch or
button) and outputs (for example to turn on a siren or to close a door). Inputs can be
used as trigger conditions and outputs can be used as actions. Refer to chapter 4.5
Input/Output Setup on page 18.
• Customize the Start page and NetPage GUI – the Start page and the NetPage user
interface can be customized to suit the individual customer requirements concerning
functionality. Refer to chapter 12.2 Customize the User Interface (GUI) on page 68.
• Remote Connection – makes it possible to establish a remote connection to a customer
site. This makes it possible to configure and maintain sites, independent of distance.
Refer to chapter 6 Remote Management on page 35.
• Open Access Protocol (OAP) – makes it possible to communicate with other systems
that is connected to the UPAC. Refer to chapter 9 Open Access Protocol (OAP) on page
38.
2.10 Power Down and Restart
2.10.1 Power Down
1 Remove the cover from the UPAC module.
2 Press the push button SW4 to perform a shut down of the processor.
3 Wait until the Function Indicator is flashing orange.
4 Remove the power cable. The power must be removed within 10 minutes or UPAC
will restart. If UPAC restarts, wait until the Function Indicator is not indicating
starting up (flashing orange) before pressing SW4 again.
2.10.2 Restart
Besides the restart in the wizard´s last step, the UPAC can be restarted by following the
instruction above and then replacing the power cable, or initiating a restart from the
administration web page.
