Location
The Location settings will help you to secure your device, protect your data,
and keep your privacy.
1. From the Home screen, swipe up to access Apps and tap Settings .
2. Tap Location .
3. Slide the switch to the On position to turn location services on.
Recent access
View a list of apps that have recently requested your location.
App location permissions
View which apps have permission to access location services.
Location services
Earthquake alerts
Get an alert with the estimated magnitude and distance from your location
when an earthquake is detected nearby.
Emergency Location Service
Turn Emergency Location Services (ELS) on. When you call or text an
emergency number, your device will use ELS to automatically send your
location to emergency responders.
Google Location Accuracy
Use GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and sensors to determine your location.
